Hi, I’m Nicolalita.
Director & Founder, Little People’s Victory
I'm a social worker, educator, consultant, dancer, and spiritually grounded practitioner whose work brings together clinical expertise, lived experience, community wisdom, movement, and a deep commitment to collective liberation.
I believe that how we care for ourselves, one another, and our communities is inseparable from the world we are working to create. This belief has guided my work for more than a decade and continues to shape how I practice, teach, and work alongside individuals, families, organizations, and communities as we build toward liberation, healing, and collective wellbeing.
A little about…
Little People’s Victory
Founded in 2017, Little People's Victory (LPV) is a liberation-centered community wellness practice.
Our intention is to cultivate love, healing, joy, and collective empowerment—strengthening our shared capacity to create meaningful, sustainable change.
Our mission is to cultivate liberated community wellness by nourishing the relationships, practices, resources, and systems that expand our collective capacity to care for ourselves, one another, and our communities.
Our approach is inclusive, holistic, culturally responsive, and liberation-focused, centering anti-oppressive, restorative, and trauma-informed values, principles, and practices.
We believe that honoring the interconnectedness of body, mind, spirit, and community is essential to our individual and collective wellbeing. Grounded in this understanding, we draw upon dance, movement, somatic practices, education, spirituality, and cultural wisdom as meaningful pathways toward healing, connection, and liberation.v
As a Licensed Master Social Worker, Community Health Worker, trauma therapist, and educator, I've spent more than a decade in my professional career bridge building and gap filling across mental and behavioral health, domestic violence, developmental disabilities, juvenile justice, public health, education, and community systems.
This understanding is at the heart of LPV's approach to liberated community wellness: care that honors our wholeness, centers agency, culture, connection, and joy, and recognizes that individual healing and collective liberation are deeply interconnected.”
Stewarding what’s next.
We recognize that wellbeing is shaped not only by how we care for ourselves and one another, but also by the relationships, resources, and systems that shape our lives. Through our work alongside individuals, families, organizations, and communities, we seek to bridge personal wellbeing and collective responsibility, recognizing that healing and liberation require both, care for one another and transformation of the systems that shape our lives.
The Story Behind the Name
Little. People’s. Victory.
My name, Nicolalita, in Spanish means “little Nicole.” Nicole, from French, means “people's victory.”
Little. People's. Victory.
I didn't grow up knowing this. In fact, for much of my life, I had a complicated relationship with my name. I forgot how to spell it, no one seemed able to pronounce it, and I even stopped using it in a desperate attempt to make myself seem a little less complicated.
In 2017, shortly after discovering the meaning of my name, I founded Little People's Victory (LPV). A name with such deep meaning, hidden in the languages of colonizers.
I didn't know exactly what LPV would become, but I knew why it needed to exist. I wanted to create something for those who, like me, had been deemed “little” by way of marginalization, oppression, and abuse.
Something rooted in the belief that our worth was never ours to prove, and that our healing and liberation- our victory- is something we must build toward—together.
LPV will be ten years old in 2027. As I approach that milestone, I find myself reflecting on what it means not only to build this work, but to steward it - to protect what has been created while continuing to make room for what it can become.
Stewardship, for me, means honoring our roots, tending to what sustains us, and imagining what's possible for the next generation. It means resourcing care, preserving culture, and creating conditions for collective wellbeing that last.
The Work is Personal
The Practice is Collective
A Life of movement, community and care.
My journey is shaped by dance, social work, community health, liberation education, lived experience, and a deep commitment to collective wellbeing.
These threads come together in LPV as a way of being and working in the world - where healing, joy, and justice are inseparable.
Movement, creativity, and cultural practices are not an afterthought. They are part of how we exist, resist, connect, and care. They nourish our capacity, our relationships, and our ability to imagine and build a more just and joyful world - together.
Let’s Keep building what is possible.
LPV is a living practice - and you're part of the story.
Whether you're here to learn, collaborate, or simply feel more connected, I'm so glad you're here.
